Kuala Lumpur doesn't have any beach, but the nearest beach situated about 60km or 11/2 hours driving from Kuala Lumpur known as Port Dickson. Even Port Dickson is a famous spot among the local but the water quality not so great and its overcrowded during the weekend. Not like other cities in the Asia were by is close to the sea function as the transportation hub and the Port, Kuala Lumpur exists due to tin mining activity where Gombak and Klang river became a main transportation hub. You can see the important of the Gombak and Klang River where most the important building such Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Central Market and Royal Selangor Club was built near to the river during British Colony.

Basically, Kuala Lumpur is a very safe city for a tourist but bad things can be happened when you're at the wrong place at the wrong time. Just put extra precaution on your surrounding area, especially when you visit the places that far from the city.

The full Hijab dress covering everything except their eyes normally are wearing by a tourist from Arab country, the local women only wearing Hijab that covering their head, hair and neck without covering their face. However, some local women also wearing full Hijab similar like Arab women but very rare.

Most of the Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur get the ice cubes from Ice Cubes supplier that been monitor by city hall and heath department. But some well known fast food restaurant and Hotels produce their own ice cubes. All the ice cubes machine comes together with filter system.
