One of the most callenging for tour guide or a driver is to do the pick up before the tour. Most of the Hotels in Kuala Lumpur had a narrow foyer, normally Hotel management not allow the tour guide park their vehicle at the front of Hotel to avoid blocking the flow of others vehicle. This is very troublesome for tour guide/ driver either to make one big circle or to park the vehicle somewhere else and walk to the Hotel.
Thru out my experiance some of the tourist not border to follow the pick up time and still having a breakfast at the Hotel. The best excuse they giving because the time diffrent, if the time diffrent more than 5 hours we still can understand, but its only 2 hours diffrent for us its too much. Its show particular tourist not respect us as their tour guide. At least curtosy give us call or text to us that you will a bit late for pick up.
Your tour guide also a normal human being who have a feeling, some of us need to start travel at 600am just to make sure they in time. No one like to wait, how you felt if your driver late to do the pick up?
