Malacca Taming Sari Tower

menara-taming-sariManara Taming sari which was opened on 18th April 2008 is another unique attraction in Malacca. The tower is located in Jalan Merdeka Bandar Hilir. The 110 meter viewing tower was designed base on legendary Taming Sari keris. The tower was build using Swiss technology and be the 1st tower in Malaysia to have revolving structure. The cabin air condioner cabin can accommodate about 68 passengers.

Baba and Nyonya Heritage Museum

baba-nyonya-museumThis museum was the ancestral home of three generation of the Baba – Nyonya family. Located at Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock the building was converted into museum to preserve its unique legacy. The building is typically of the Boroque style homes of wealthy Chinese family. An open air courtyard is situated in the middle of the houses to let in sunlight. Furniture is made of Chinese Rosewood in a mixture of Chinese, Victorian and Dutch designs.

Malacca Islamic Museum

malacca-islamic-museumThe Melaka Islamic Museum is located in Jalan Kota, only a stone's throw away from the Dutch Square. Directly facing it is the Police State Contingent Headquarters. The Melaka Islamic Museum, housed in a stately three storey building, was built in the 1850s to record the advent and development of Islam in the Peninsular and the South East Asian region. The building has been gazette as an antiquity under the Antiquities Act 1976.
